“In Jami Sieber’s hands, the cello becomes a statement for longing and freedom, for unbridled expression, and a prayer to tenderness that encompasses every emotion.”

– Lloyd Barde, Music Editor – Common Ground Magazine

Internationally renowned composer and cellist Jami Sieber’s soundtrack for Queen of the Sun: What are the Bees Telling Us? buzzes with the life and mystery of a beehive.

Jami Sieber is an artist known for her ability to connect with nature. Previously, she collaborated with elephants to create the eclectic and absorbing music on her album Hidden Sky. In the Soundtrack for Queen of the Sun she turns to the beehive for inspiration. Taking cues not just from the gravity of the decline of bees, but also from the wonder evoked by the bees themselves, her music takes us on a journey deep inside the soul.

The Queen of the Sun Motion Picture Soundtrack is a compilation of compositions by Sieber in addition to some new collaborative creations of Sieber and Evan Schiller (producer/engineer/composer). Also featured are two pieces performed by the Portland, Oregon based folk-group Omiza River.
