WORLD THEATRICAL PREMIERE OPENING GALA
Friday, September 17 @ 7:30, second screening at 9:30
Join us for the Portland Theatrical Premiere of Queen of the Sun at the Hollywood Theater in Portland, Oregon. Queen of the Sun will be Introduced by Sam Adams. There will be live music before the show by Omiza River. Stay after for a Q&A with director Taggart Siegel, producer Jon Betz and other local beekeepers. Your movie stub is a raffle ticket for prizes donated by local sponsors. There will be a raffle drawing will follow the screening.
Honeybee Costume Contest
Saturday, Sept. 18 @ 9:30 PM
Come to the screening dressed as a bee (or even a flower)! The best dressed will win great prizes donated by local community sponsors! Live music before the film by Omiza River. Q&A with director Taggart Siegel, producer, Jon Betz and other local beekeepers. Your movie stub is a raffle ticket for prizes donated by local sponsors. Raffle drawing will follow the screening.

Zenger Farm Bee Day

Visit Zenger Farm in SE Portland and learn all about Honeybees and Backyard Beekeeping.
Celebrate Honey Bee Week with Portland's first "Tour de Hives!" Visit a variety of Portland's backyard beehives and beekeepers and fall in love with the honeybee.Tour stops in NE, SE and N Portland. See different Langstroth, Warre, and Top Bar hive set-ups and learn from new and experienced beekeepers. You set your own pace and path for the tour. Walking and biking encouraged.
It's free! Register by September 23 with Lauren at Tourdehives@gmail.com with your name, phone, and the number of people in your group. Maps of the tour stops will be emailed on Sept. 23. Spread the word!
